Education Minister Answers Queries in Amrita TV’s Education Bulletin

Vidyabhyasa Vaarthakal, Amrita TV’s academic news bulletin creates history twice in two months.

The communiqué became a breaking news item on October 2nd ,the very day of its launch by virtue of it being the first ever daily educational bulletin in Malayalam, put  together solely for scholastic updates. On November 15th, it hit the headlines the second time over when the Honorable Minister of State for Education, Mr. M.A. Baby himself consented to chair the show once a week to take questions on matters relating to education. The half an hour exclusive episodes will be telecast every Sunday at 7 am in the morning.

Vidyabhyasa Varthakal , is the outcome of Amrita TV’s earnest attempts  to gather together every notification, intimation or announcement in education that might be of use or importance to the student community and present the information in a clear crisp format everyday at 7 am for public appraisal. The bulletin covers everything under the ‘academic sun’ that includes changes in syllabi, introduction of new courses, date of exams, notification of entrance tests, declaration of results from the 11th & 12th grades to  graduate, postgraduate and professional courses.

The special Sunday episode that features the Minister is a phone-in show where he receives calls from students, teachers and parents on everything related to education. In the 30 minute long programme he will give answers to queries, remove doubts, clear confusion and settle the complaints of the callers.

This  Q& A session puts  the viewers in contact with the Minister, thus giving  a rare opportunity for the viewers to interact directly with the man at the top while at the same time  helping  him to keep in touch with the educational issues that are important to the public.

By amassing a wealth of details in the education sector, italicizing   everything of note and serving it in a compact platter, Vidyabyasa Varthakal  has been providing the public with comprehensive information that could be taken in at a glance; by roping   in the Minister to reply to their enquiries, it has provided a forum where they can get answers to questions right from the foremost elected authority on education in the State.
